Horse Update

Airborne

By: Linda L. Kerr

Our horses are at the heart of our program, and we spend many hours and lots of sweat and tears taking care of the animals that take such special care of our riders. Currently, we have twelve horses – here is a quick look at our guys and gals….

Airborne

He is still the biggest!

Blinkers

Our blue and brown-eyed pony!

Buddy

Is he really a black horse?

Buster

Do you like his Mohawk?

Echo

Did you know he used to be a barrel racer?

Jesse

He has been here the longest!

R-Knee

We’ve decided to retire him and are looking for a great home.

Romeo

Where’s Juliet?

Suzie

One of our volunteers (Betty) is her sponsor!

Sweetpea

She’s in competition for Suzie for being the prettiest!

Sword

Check out “Sword Wonders”!

**Shadow

He is here on trial and we’ll see how it goes!

We gave a very sad goodbye to China this year – she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and we decided to end her pain.

We also said farewell to MayDay – one of our former volunteers took him into her home and he is very happy keeping her friend’s horse company and going on trail rides.

Emma did not work out for our program, but our schooling team captain, Janet Combs, has decided to give her a good home!
