Tigger is a wonderful combination of qualities. He has all the swing of a large horse, but is small and narrow enough to be comfortable for many hippotherapy riders. He’s easy to lead and sidewalk, and always willing to do as he is asked in the arena. His red dorsal stripe makes it easy for instructors to judge when a rider is out of midline! Out in the pasture, his Mustang heritage starts to show. (He was captured from the wild in Nevada as a 3 year old.) Tigger loves to move other horses around or play cat and mouse with humans who come to catch him. Before he came to PPTRC, he and his owner rode with the Westernaires, a well-known drill team out of Denver. It doesn’t take much for Tigger to remember his rodeo and parade days, and strut his stuff like the fine mount that he is.
